I applied online. Had a phone chat with someone from an internal agency (they were lovely) and then emailed with resourcing (they were helpful). There was some delay and then I had a maths test and a 3-person panel interview which included a presentation. It was quite time consuming. I got an email rejection afterwards, without my test results or any feedback.

After I sent my CV for a job ad, they emailed me back saying they liked my profile and wanted to set up a panel interview. It was with 5 people: program director, HR Head, a senior professor, the branch dean and director, and a secretary. I answered some open-ended questions and they made it feel friendly, and I got to ask my questions too. They were also upfront about the tough parts of the job, like giving feedback to lots of students and grading a ton of exams.

The interview was really calm and comfortable. I met with a panel of 3 people who each had their own questions. It started off really light with a bit of a chat, and I had to adjust my space, but they were totally fine with it. Then we did introductions and I talked about myself. They didn't ask a lot of super technical stuff, mostly questions about health and safety.

I was contacted for an interview on Friday evening for this role. The interview was scheduled for the following Wednesday, and I was only informed of the time the day before. This wasn't a great start. The interview itself was quite disappointing. It felt like they were just going through the motions. They didn't even explain the role's context until I asked just before they ended the call. In my experience, interviewers usually take more time to explain the role. It really felt like they just wanted to get it over with quickly. Honestly, I suspect they had already chosen someone and were just interviewing others to seem fair.
