First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UnitedHealthcare.
Sales Manager
It was a pretty long process. Started with a recruiter screening call, then I had to do an on-demand taped video interview. After that, I went in person to interview with a senior director and a manager. Then there was a video interview with the regional vice president. Finally, I had a shadow meeting at the facility.
- Describe your sales process.
- How do you approach time management?
- What's your strategy for dealing with challenging customers?
Health Services Director
Got an app notification about an initial interview. Didn't hear back for weeks to set it up. Finally got an email saying I was still in consideration but it would take a bit longer. About a month later, had the initial interview with HR. They said the process could take 4-6 weeks, but I interviewed with the rest of the leadership team the next week, and the CEO the week after that. It took about 2 weeks from the first interview to getting the offer.
- Tell me about your experience and knowledge of Medicaid.
- Describe your approach to collaborating with Quality assurance teams.
Director
Applying to the open role within 2 business days was crucial to hearing back. There was an HR screening/conversation and then I was asked to do a one-way Hirevue interview. The business took a little too long to review that interview, but the next step was a virtual panel interview with the hiring manager and their peers. An offer was relayed about a week and a half after they got through the interviews.
- How do you determine and measure employee potential?
Community Field Representative
After applying, I got a call from HR to go over my application answers. Then I had a 45-minute virtual chat with the hiring manager in my state. It was pretty chill. She started by asking about me. Since I gave a good overview of my background, education, work history, and skills, she didn't ask much else. I understood the job details, and she covered the hours, work conditions, and what's expected. She asked if I'd be okay with a week of training out of town. It finished before the 45 minutes. I didn't get the job, and they only told me after I followed up a week later. They replied the same day.
- Can you walk me through your background?
- Would you be able to travel for a week for training without any issues?
