& Process

The process was a single interview with my boss. Getting an interview can be competitive, but if you show genuine interest and explain why you're a good fit, it's not that hard. I definitely recommend it.

It was pretty easy and great. They mainly wanted to know if I knew the job and if I was a good person with decent soft skills. I had to bring a printed resume and make sure to plan for extra time because parking might be far away.

I applied online and had an employee referral. My first interview was a phone call with talent acquisition. It took a couple of weeks to schedule an in-person interview in LA. I flew in, and then two hours before, they emailed to reschedule because two team members were sick. I called them and asked if the interview could still happen, suggesting I could meet the other attorneys by phone since I was already there. When I arrived for the rescheduled interview, no one was at the reception to greet me, and I had to wander around to find the office. Once I found it, the interview with the first attorney went well, and I met with a second attorney afterward. I followed up with the talent acquisition team twice for an update, but she said she hadn't heard anything and they were still interviewing others. I haven't heard back, which I found very rude and disrespectful of my time and money. The staff seemed distant, cold, disorganized, and unappreciative.

Applied through a referral. The process was smooth at first. It included a phone screen, one in-person interview, and then another with an upper management executive and the team leader. The questions were the usual ones like 'describe your strengths and weaknesses' and 'tell me about a time when.' The recruiter said they'd let me know either way, but I never heard back. The whole thing took 6 weeks. I could let it slide because Disney bought them and there's a lot going on, but a simple 'thanks, but no thanks' would have been nice after three interviews.
