The interviewer asked me literally 1 questions and talked the whome time. I left the place leaving unsatisfied that i wasn't probed to reveal my skill set, and what i learned was if the interviewer is bad at interviewing, you still have the responsibility to make sure that before you leave your hiring manager knows your the on for the job because of XYZ reasons.

I had an initial chat with HR, who was super nice and seemed really keen to help me join. My friend recommended me, so that might have helped. Then, the hiring director gave me the lowdown on the role right after, and it sounded like typical legal assistant stuff. I got invited back for a second interview with the attorney I'd be working with, and it went great – they were really outgoing. I heard back with an offer the very next day.

So after I decided to apply for the assistant job, I first sent in my resume and cover letter using the company's online system. A few days later, the HR folks emailed me and asked me to do a phone interview. We talked about my past jobs, why I wanted this role, and my schedule. It wasn't long, but I felt pretty good about how it went.
