Applied online with my CV, cover letter and answered screening questions. Had an initial chat with an executive search person. Then had a more formal interview with the hiring manager, an independent person, and someone from the talent team. Followed by a casual chat with the hiring manager. Did some psychometric tests.

After you ace the online aptitude tests, you might get invited to an interview. This interview involves a presentation you'll give to a panel. The panel consists of a recruiter, the hiring manager (who was a senior engineer when I interviewed), and someone currently in the grad program. They'll give you the presentation details about a week beforehand. The whole interview doesn't take more than 15 minutes. After your presentation, they might ask you a couple of follow-up questions.

Behavioral Other

The interview panel was made up of two managers and one HR person. The interview itself went well, focusing on behavioral and situational questions. After that, I went through the pre-employment checks and submitted all the required documents. Everything seemed to be going smoothly until the HR officer called to say they could only offer me the lowest salary in the range. I asked if they could consider the median range instead. A few days later, the HR officer informed me that my references had given negative feedback about my past performance, and as a result, my application was unsuccessful.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Please share an experience demonstrating your ability to address compliance matters, using the STAR method.
  • Can you detail a situation where you were responsible for ensuring sustainability standards were met?
  • What would be your approach in a situation where a company regulation was not being followed?
