Behavioral Technical Presentation

The initial steps were super smooth and well-organized by the team. I really connected with the hiring manager and the person who interviewed me, and they gave me solid feedback. I made it to the final round, which was an interview with a Managing Director. Afterward, I was told I'd hear back in a few days about the outcome. I never heard anything, despite following up multiple times. No rejection, no confirmation, just silence. It was really unprofessional and left a bad impression.

Behavioral

It was a terrible experience. I went through five interviews, and the HR person said everything went well and we were moving forward to finalize things. Then, there was complete radio silence. Even though I followed up three times via email over three weeks, I never got a reply. No update, no rejection, nothing. After all the time and effort I put in, this treatment is pretty disrespectful. It shows their company culture - disorganized, inconsiderate, and unprofessional. Most companies give an update after one interview, let alone five. No one should want to work at a place that treats people this way.

I applied online and heard back from a recruiter in two days for an initial screening. They talked about the role, the company, and what they were looking for, and asked me some questions to see if I'd be a good fit. Then I had a 30-minute interview with the CTO, which was mostly scenario-based and behavioral to check if I'd fit into their work culture. After that, I had a 1.5-hour interview with the hiring manager. They were nice and asked about my experience, then we moved to a technical hands-on screening in my local editor. They gave me a test suite with some issues and failing tests and asked me to fix them. They mainly focused on how I thought out loud to find the solution. About 1.5 weeks later, the recruiter emailed to say I wasn't being considered further. I felt I did pretty well but I'm not sure why I didn't get it, though I really enjoyed the whole process and it boosted my confidence for future opportunities.

The team was super professional and easy to chat with. The interviews felt like conversations, and they genuinely seemed interested in getting to know me, what I could bring to the team, and discussing the role. They had some really great software engineers. I had four one-on-one interviews, each lasting about an hour to an hour and a half. The first was with the hiring manager, where we really dug into my technical skills. Then there was a technical interview that included some basic algorithm questions, but mostly focused on advanced language features and live coding. Another interview focused on the advanced aspects of my preferred UI framework. Finally, I met with a senior manager for a behavioral round, who was also the business owner for the team.
