Had a quick call with the recruiter first. Then, I had a 20-minute Zoom interview with the Team Lead, but unfortunately, I didn't pass that one. They asked me about C++ concepts like polymorphism, atomic operations, and mutexes, wanting deep dives and examples.

The team was super professional and easy to chat with. The interviews felt like conversations, and they genuinely seemed interested in getting to know me, what I could bring to the team, and discussing the role. They had some really great software engineers. I had four one-on-one interviews, each lasting about an hour to an hour and a half. The first was with the hiring manager, where we really dug into my technical skills. Then there was a technical interview that included some basic algorithm questions, but mostly focused on advanced language features and live coding. Another interview focused on the advanced aspects of my preferred UI framework. Finally, I met with a senior manager for a behavioral round, who was also the business owner for the team.

Two rounds of onsite interviews - what a waste of time! They wrote questions on a white paper, asked me to code and then kept staring at their phones. No discussion whatsoever and even after I tried to ask questions, they just gave quick replies and back to checking their phones. If they are so disinterested or have such high priority work, why even bother to invite for onsite and waste my time?! They could have sent me a hackerrank link instead. When will the companies teach right etiquette to the interviewers before unleashing them onto the applicants?!
