First there was a GD round where topics were given and a discussion was held based on those topics for candidate selection. Second, a resume-based technical round was conducted where technical questions were asked and the scope of the concepts was explored in detail.
- Were questions asked about your resume?

It was pretty tough, you have to get ready for some hard questions. Practicing should help a lot, maybe by watching YouTube videos. Also, try to practice with someone so you don't get too nervous. I had like 4 interviews with 4 different people, and they asked me the same questions.
- What motivates you to want to work at this company?
Store General Manager
You'll start with a phone interview with HR, where they'll ask 3-5 questions to check if you meet the basic requirements. Then, you'll have a second interview with the District Manager, covering more questions about management, P/L, and your work history. If that goes well, you'll then talk with the Regional Manager. This last interview is more of a conversation to see if you're a good fit for the company culture and possibly get a job offer.
- Tell me about your previous management experience and how it would make you successful as a Store General Manager.
Store Manager
After reviewing my resume, I had an interview. The hiring manager seemed genuine. Initially, I was quoted an hourly wage of $12.02, with the suggestion of about 10 hours of overtime per week. The schedule was set as 9 AM to 7 PM daily, Monday through Friday, plus alternating Saturdays from 10 AM to 2 PM. The weekly hours alone, without overtime, amounted to 50 hours. There was also a monthly bonus based on a percentage, and if no bonus was earned, an additional $416 was added, effectively bringing the hourly rate to $13.47. The role also involved using my personal car for trips to the bank and post office, which wasn't explicitly mentioned during hiring. While no car allowance was offered, mileage reimbursement was available at roughly $0.30 per mile, which is significantly less than the IRS recommended $0.56 per mile. I suspect executives might receive a car allowance. However, within the first week, it became clear that using one's personal vehicle for these tasks is standard. Then, about two weeks in, I was informed that overtime was not permitted, contradicting what I was told when hired. This feels disrespectful and misleading.
- Was the offer made not honored?
- Can company management not be believed or trusted?
