Event Assistant
The interviewer didn't really ask about my experience, just assumed she knew and started crossing things off my resume without asking me. For example, she crossed off a job in Texas that I actually still work at, but she crossed it through without letting me explain that I'm still on the roster because I travel back there for family sometimes. I felt like the interviewer was threatened because I had more promotions and marketing experience than her, seeing my resume and just wrote me off without giving me a chance to sell myself. I know it was an entry-level position, but she could have also encouraged me to apply for other managerial positions. As requested, I brought recommendations, including a magazine I was featured in as an expert for event planning in the wedding edition, which she didn't even ask to see or inquire about. I went in really excited to work with this company, but after the rushed interview, which barely touched on my skills or allowed me to speak, I felt like everything they claim to be is misleading. Also, after all the time and effort wasted to apply, schedule the interview, read and reply to confirmation emails, drive there, and sit in the office for longer than the actual interview because she was so rushed and just talked about the position instead of asking what I could bring to it, the least they could have done is send a follow-up email thanking me for my time or explaining why I wasn't a fit. This was the worst interview experience I've ever had, and I've been in many interviews!

Marketing Coordinator
So I applied on LinkedIn and got a call the next morning asking if I wanted to interview that same day. I went in early and the interviewer started by asking about my interests and experience. She was nice and said I was a natural leader. Then she said she enjoyed our time and I'd hear back by 5:00 pm if I made it to the next stage, which was odd. I asked a question I had written down, and she rudely told me she'd already answered it and I should've taken notes. I explained I wanted more detailed insight, but she called it a lack of attention. She also said I wouldn't be showcasing products at Sam's Club/Costco, which seemed like a lie since that's what the job is. I felt like leaving, so I ended the interview. She showed me out, wishing me a nice day and reminding me about the 5:00 pm call. I got a call later but didn't answer because I wasn't interested anymore. Worst hiring process ever.

Event and Marketing Coordinator
It was a three step interview process. The company seemed disorganized and I felt they weren't truthful about the job itself, the pay, and potential for advancement. Don't believe the job posting. In the first interview with the hiring manager, she gave very different information, saying that 'we market the booths from setup to teardown but we do not deal with sampling and selling' and that the pay is 70-85K after initial training where you make about 700-800$ per week. For the second interview, I had to drive over 1.5 hours to a Sam's Club in Avondale, AZ, and then waited 35 minutes because the interviewer didn't know I was coming. I watched her pressure elderly ladies into buying beauty samples they didn't want. She then explained that you earn minimum wage until you complete two types of training, and only after moving up three positions could you possibly get a salary with your main income being commission. The math didn't seem right, and I didn't have a good feeling about the company. They offered a third interview to finalize the job offer and discuss details, but I declined. It felt like a disorganized waste of time.

Event Assistant
I applied online by sending the company my resume. A friendly person contacted me by the next day, they said they really liked my resume and I had experience they were looking for, asked me a couple of questions and then invited me in to an interview with the management team. She was very professional and knowledgeable about the company and my resume, I could tell she wasn't just cold calling me because she referenced my resume and asked for details about my experience. I went in for the interview with the manager and filled out an actual application. The manager reviewed it and brought me into their office and asked me more questions that were detailed about what I was looking for in a position and what the company had to offer. After that I received call back about an on site interview with another manager, I was very excited and curious to see what that was all about. I got to the event and they described the position professionally and thoroughly. They also answered all of my questions (I had a lot of them!). I was asked to come in for a third and final interview, the same original manager went over my experience at the event, asked me what I learned, and then made sure I understood the pay thoroughly, what my duties would be, and what the growth projection would be. I got the call back today and after discussing with family decided it was a great fit to get my foot in the door with a company and to grow with, I am excited to start soon!
