Account Manager
It was a pretty chill interview process and the people working there were super nice. They mainly asked about me and my background. There were three interviews in total. The first was just a quick chat to see if I was a good fit. Then, I had to go to one of their events, which was at Sams club, but I didn't feel like I'd do well in that kind of environment. Before the second interview, I had to do a background check. The second interview involved a quiz to make sure I was listening. I was a bit unsure about that part. The next step was the final interview, which also had a quiz, and then we talked more about the job itself. After that, they called and offered me the job, but I turned it down because I was hoping for something more in advertising.
- What are some of your hobbies?
- Can you tell me about yourself?
- What do you like to do in your free time?
Account Manager
This was the first of three steps. It was informal and relaxed. They are honest about the business structure and expectations. The company hires everyone as entry-level and promotes from within. I found the job on LinkedIn with many similar openings. I was excited about working as an account manager for a marketing company, but Glassdoor reviews deflated me. It's a glorified retail company where you work a traveling road show in a big box retailer. I was disappointed. When she asked about working weekends, I couldn't hide my disappointment and was hesitant. I'm looking for a career as an account manager with years of experience. The job description was misleading.
- Would you be okay with working weekends?
- What is your reason for leaving your current employment?
Account Manager
The interview started with a friendly assistant at the front who made small talk to help ease my nerves. Then, I met with the manager for the first interview, discussing my past employment and management experience. It was an informative and easy interview, providing a lot of information. After that, I had a second interview on-site at an event, which gave me a clear picture of the day-to-day responsibilities in about an hour. Overall, it was a very professional interview process.
- Could you describe your approach to management?
