First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Things Remembered.
Sales Associate
The interview process was super quick and easy. They basically asked me to sell the interviewer a blue pen and asked about my previous work history. It was a really straightforward interview. I got a job offer over the phone the very next day.
- Do you have any previous experience in customer-facing roles?
Assistant Manager
Super easy process! Like, the questions they asked were 'what's your experience' and 'why do you wanna work here?'. They got back to me super fast, like the next day. They're pretty chill, especially if you're applying around holidays like Christmas or Mother's Day.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What's your availability like?
Store Manager
So, there's this personality assessment thing, and if you don't pass that, you're out, even if you're qualified. You're supposed to be accountable for a store and a team, but you end up working alone. The thing is, how can you evaluate your team if you only work with them like 2 to 3 hours a week? It feels more like a sales associate role than a manager one.
- Would you be comfortable working by yourself?
- How would you ensure your team is accountable when you're not around them most of the time?
- What steps would you take to improve sales if you weren't meeting your targets?
Sales Associate/Engraver
I applied about a week ago, and got a call on Monday for an interview on Thursday. The interview was in the food court and lasted maybe 10-15 minutes. My manager was really nice! They asked about 10 basic questions about everyday stuff and were informative about the duties. It was super casual and they welcomed any questions. I left feeling really confident, which was great because I was super nervous as it was my first interview.
- What motivated you to apply for this position?
- Can you identify three areas for your professional development?
