The interview process was pretty straightforward, though I was a bit nervous. They asked relevant questions about my skills and resume. I spoke with both the HR recruiter and a team leader from a project. The recruiter focused on my background and experience, while the team leader went into technical questions.

The interview process was pretty straightforward. There were two or three language tests, depending on the language you were applying for, where I had to find and fix grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors. The next part was a discussion about my expectations for the role, my previous QA experience, and any gaming experience I had. After I accepted the job offer, I was supposed to do two days of remote training. However, on the training day, I didn't get any follow-up info or links, and I ended up wasting a morning trying to get this from the recruiter. Because of this, I've withdrawn my application, which was really frustrating and a total waste of my time.

First, you have to complete a test assignment over Zoom, which is pretty straightforward if you're a good fit. After that, you proceed to the interview itself, which isn't too tough. The HR person was really nice and chill, but it felt like they weren't totally sure about what they were discussing, and not everything was clear from the get-go. It's a good idea to ask a lot of questions if you're unsure about anything, otherwise, they might just gloss over it.

The interview started with a nice and easy first stage. I was expecting the second stage, which was supposed to be a translation test, but HR decided to reject my application. They said they were looking for candidates with more experience in translation and proofreading, even though I have 2 years of translation experience, a degree, and experience in videogames. It would be better if they specified these requirements in the job posting to save other candidates' time.

  • Do you play videogames?
  • What has been your most significant accomplishment in translation?
  • Which project did you enjoy the most?
