I had an interview scheduled, but after waiting on Zoom for 10 minutes and seeing the interviewer appear, I was never admitted to the call. Synergy Manhattan ignored my messages, offered no apology, and later fabricated an excuse. They rescheduled, and a few hours prior, they asked if we could move it earlier. I was unavailable then and said we could arrange another time that suited them better. I received no response and my follow-up email was also ignored. It was a complete waste of my time due to their disrespect and unprofessionalism.

I had never been in a multiple-candidate interview before, which was a new experience for a consultancy job. I feel that this can put you at a disadvantage, especially when you answer first and the other candidate can sort of 'out-do' you in what they say. The base salary was mentioned but never prescribed a full amount, which I found odd. When explaining the different roles one could move into, the promotional pay scale was minimal, only going up by around 5k per higher position. What turned me off was the way the company and job were described. We were told that this isn't a sales position, yet we are selling products. It just seemed like there was a lack of transparency. Other than that, the people who worked there seemed kind, and they really did seem to listen to what you had to say. The company culture seemed well based on that, but those other aspects were something I couldn't get past.

I sent in my resume on Sep 14, 2017 and got a reply quickly about scheduling a 30-min in-person interview in New Rochelle, NY. I picked a date and later got a call about my education, goals, and interests to set up the interview. The interview was the next day, Sep 15, 2017. It was basically an intro to the company where they asked about my work history and goals to see if we were a good fit. Then, I was set up for a second interview on Monday. This one was an hour and a half. I liked that the interview felt like a conversation, asking why I wanted this job and how my goals fit their needs. I liked the learning, training, and entrepreneurship parts, but it didn't seem to offer the work-life balance I need.

I found this job on JobRadar by chance and was really happy about it. I interviewed at the Tulsa, OK office. The interviewer, George Gonzalez, was very professional. He asked me to talk about myself, so I went into detail about my past job at AT&T. He mentioned we needed to speed it up, and then he told me about Synergy. I was impressed by what I heard about selling services like DirecTV/AT&T U-Verse Internet/VoIP and Cox, especially since the pay at AT&T was so low. It was great to meet George and the team and see how enthusiastic they are.
