First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Swatch Group.
E-commerce Coordinator
Initial phone call followed by an interview with HR. The HR person was quite dismissive, immediately criticizing my resume for lacking full-time experience despite having internships and student jobs, as a recent graduate. They seemed ready to end the interview quickly but then decided to explore my background further after I asked some questions. Towards the end, they brought in the hiring manager for a combined interview. The manager assessed my interest in the brand, knowledge of pricing and competitors, and passion for watches. My engagement level seemed to influence their demeanor. I was told I'd hear back in two weeks, but it seems I was forgotten.
- What is the average price of a Swatch watch?
Project Manager
Standard interview process: initial HR contact, then an interview with the hiring manager and HR, followed by a discovery day with the teams. The discovery day was well-organized with pleasant team interactions. However, despite knowing my salary expectations (which were standard for this role in the watchmaking sector and my experience level), the HR person refused to discuss it, ultimately offering a salary below my expectations. After a slight negotiation and a slightly improved offer, she quickly withdrew it via email, claiming it would disrupt team salaries (an argument I don't believe). No call or discussion about the company's inability to meet my expectations, showing a lack of consideration for my time and a cowardice from HR. This experience aligns with Swatch Group's reputation in the industry.

The interview process runs smoothly and is well‑organized. First, you will meet with HR for a 30‑minute session focused on your background and motivation. Afterwards, you will proceed to meet the manager, who will evaluate your skills, experience, and fit for the role. Overall, it feels structured, professional, and welcoming.

Interior Designer
The interview was all online, with the team lead and recruiter both there. I got to show my work and talk about how I come up with designs. Then, they told me about their team setup and how they handle work and work together across teams. We then talked about what I've done, and had a good chat about The Swatch Group's brand, their vibe, and how this job fits into what they want to achieve.
- Could you tell me about your strengths and weaknesses?
