First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Swagelok.
Engineer
Had an HR call over the phone. Then a video call with supervisors where they asked technical questions and talked about the team and role. Finally, an in-person interview with the next level supervisor, including a tour. They asked situational and behavioral questions. They explained the follow-up process well, so I knew what to expect.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Software Engineer Intern
I chatted with them at the college career fair, and they reached out to me for a phone screen about a month later. The HR person was super friendly and gave a clear rundown of the role and the rest of the interview process. The interview itself felt pretty relaxed, not like the usual STAR questions that stress you out, more like a casual conversation.
- Can you describe a project you've worked on?
HR Generalist
The interview process included a phone interview with the hiring manager, a video interview with a teammate, a one-hour online assessment, and a panel interview. The questions were very structured and seemed to be read from a list, which felt fair because every candidate got the same questions.
- Can you describe your experience distinguishing between exempt and non-exempt employees?
Team Member
The interview felt very robotic, like they were just trying to extract information. Even after it was over, it wasn't enough! They mentioned they'd want me to take an IQ and mental competency test to move forward. I found it amusing and realized this probably wasn't a place I'd want to work. You could probably tell from my face by the end that I wasn't really interested.
- Were you asked general questions about your background or experience?
- Did they mention administering an IQ test as part of the process?
- Was a mental competency test also mentioned as a next step?
