Behavioral Presentation

My interview experience with Suitsupply was pretty bad and a waste of time. It took three months and included: a recruiter call, a chat with the District Manager, and then what they called a panel interview. I thought it'd be a big discussion with five people, but it was just two, an HR person and another Store Manager. Then, halfway through, they dropped the bomb that the Store Manager job was already filled internally and they were now interviewing for Assistant Store Manager. They never mentioned this before. It was unprofessional to waste my time and not tell me right away when the role was filled. Companies that focus on tailoring should do better with hiring.

The process took about two weeks after I replied. They got back to me pretty fast and after a couple of interviews, they made me an offer which I accepted. Just so you know, they won't discuss salary until the very end if you don't bring it up.

Behavioral Technical

I went through 3 rounds of interviews for this role, and they were quite efficient, completing all of them within about two weeks. I felt the interviews went well, and there was no indication they had concerns about my qualifications. The final interview concluded with them stating they'd be in touch soon about the next steps and that I could reach out with any questions. Surprisingly, the very next morning, I got an automated email saying they were moving forward with other candidates, which felt odd considering I'd already completed three interviews. When I inquired about this, after a week-long wait for a response, they explained they were seeking someone with more experience. While I understand choosing a candidate with more experience, I found it frustrating to go through three interviews when this could have been assessed earlier, either from my CV or during the initial recruiter call, as it felt like my time was wasted.

The entire interview process lasted over a month. It started with a good initial meeting, which then led to an in-person meeting. After that, I was given a business case to create a complete social media strategy for them. A final cultural interview and a concluding call followed, and I thought they were ready to extend an offer. However, they didn't get back to me for two weeks, and then on Christmas Eve, they sent a really unprofessional email stating they had 'lost the headcount' for the role and would be in touch in January. I never heard from them again. It really felt like a 'boys club attitude'.
