Had a good experience overall. I could answer most of the questions, and the interviewer was really nice and gave good info. They also had a part where I could shadow and learn from the other agents.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview at Spring Venture Group kicked off with a quick screening call, more of a vibe check than a formal interview. The recruiter really wanted to know my 'why,' probing my drive and financial motivation to fit their high-energy culture in the Kansas City office, looking for someone eager to hit targets and grow. The most challenging part was the behavioral interview and role-play. I did a mock sales call where they presented objections to test my composure. They really valued coachability; after the first round, the manager gave immediate feedback and had me retry, checking if I could take critique and pivot, proving I could handle their rigorous training. After the performance assessment, the background check and licensing prep went fast. Since I wasn't licensed, they showed me how they'd sponsor my training and prep for the state exam. It was a whirlwind, but the offer made it clear what was expected, and I felt I'd earned a spot in a high-performing environment where success is tied to effort.

I had a phone screen which was shorter since we had already spoken. Then, I had a video call with the hiring manager and another team member. The following week, I got a mini project to do in Excel/Sheets, which I finished, though I wasn't happy with my work. Later, I was told the team was at a conference and couldn't review applications. I followed up by email a couple more times but never heard back, even when I included the hiring manager. The job was reposted with a different title. I just wish I had been told my skills weren't a fit after completing the earlier stages and a project, rather than being ghosted.

I connected with a recruiter on LinkedIn who told me about the job, then I applied and they set up an interview. The interview consisted of a few questions, mainly about my work authorization in the US and if I had any questions for them. They shared details about the role, and that concluded the interview. The following week, I got an email stating they would not be moving forward with my application.

  • Do you foresee needing a work visa sponsorship later on?
