First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Spring Venture Group.
Inside Sales Advisor
I applied online, exchanged a few emails with someone at SVG, completed an assessment, and then went in for an interview and job shadowing. The online assessment was like a timed IQ test with vocabulary and logic questions. The in-person interview was a bit unstructured; the interviewer used some profanity and had to leave to get his question list. The questions weren't too surprising or out of the ordinary. I felt the interview went well, and he seemed to think I was a good candidate. The job shadowing felt unnecessary since I didn't get a second interview. I was told to sit with someone for '15, 20, or 30 minutes or whatever works for you.' Afterward, I checked out with the receptionist and was told they'd follow up. About 45 minutes later, I got an email saying they 'went with another candidate.' The process was quick and simple, but the shadowing was a waste of time.

Inside Sales Representative
I saw an ad for Spring Venture Group and applied in April. A few days later, I got a call for a phone screen. We then set up an in-person interview for the next Tuesday. That interview felt natural and not overly scripted; they focused on understanding my personality and motivations. A day or two after, I was called to schedule a second in-person interview for the following week. This second interview seemed like a confirmation of the first. After the interview, I shadowed a sales rep for about an hour, which was useful to see the job duties in action. I got a job offer the next day and accepted.
- What is the toughest part of being coached, according to your past supervisors?
Inside Sales Advisor
So the whole thing was a three part interview process. It started with a phone interview, which was more of a get to know you and you get to know the job thing- I got offered a second interview at the end of this call. Then it was an in house interview with a Sales Manager. And the third interview was in house with a Sales Director! After my third interview, they gave me the chance to shadow an inside sales advisor and learn more about what I would be doing.
- If I were your sales coach, what would you say is the best way to coach you?
