Behavioral Technical Presentation

The interview at Spring Venture Group kicked off with a quick screening call, more of a vibe check than a formal interview. The recruiter really wanted to know my 'why,' probing my drive and financial motivation to fit their high-energy culture in the Kansas City office, looking for someone eager to hit targets and grow. The most challenging part was the behavioral interview and role-play. I did a mock sales call where they presented objections to test my composure. They really valued coachability; after the first round, the manager gave immediate feedback and had me retry, checking if I could take critique and pivot, proving I could handle their rigorous training. After the performance assessment, the background check and licensing prep went fast. Since I wasn't licensed, they showed me how they'd sponsor my training and prep for the state exam. It was a whirlwind, but the offer made it clear what was expected, and I felt I'd earned a spot in a high-performing environment where success is tied to effort.

Behavioral Group Presentation

You meet with two people, a manager and someone doing the job, for about 30-45 minutes. Then you watch someone do the job for up to 30 minutes. I didn't think it was too hard and I did mess up a bit when I spoke. I'm not the best at interviews, and I was a little worried because the manager and the other person didn't really seem to agree on what the job was. The manager said I'd be calling people who bought lists from Google and they'd be mad about the call. But the person I watched said she just followed up with people who already showed interest in insurance. I'm not good at pretending like everything is fine when something doesn't make sense, and that's probably why I didn't get the job. I was already kind of down on the job because of bad reviews I read the night before, so maybe that hurt my performance. Honestly, I'm glad I didn't get it because it seemed like they wanted people to sell really hard, which I'm not about. A lot of my bad feelings about the interview probably come from applying for a job that just doesn't fit my quiet, non-pushy personality. Still, the mixed signals about the job before and during the interview didn't make me feel confident it was a good place to work. The interview process isn't awful, but I'd tell people interviewing here to be ready for things to be a little unclear about what the job actually is.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

This was the best interview process ever. First, there was a phone interview with recruiting, then two in-person interviews about a week apart. The first in-person interview was with a manager and felt pretty comfortable. The second in-person interview was a bit more intense with thought-provoking questions, and they gave me plenty of time to ask my own questions. After the second interview, I got to shadow a sales team member, which was the coolest part.
