The interview process was pretty straightforward. I had some typical retail questions over the phone first. After that, they had me come in for an in-person interview. We started with a tour of the store, and then we sat down to talk about what the Sales Lead role involves and what's expected. The whole hiring thing wrapped up in under two weeks, which was nice.

I had a nice chat with the new manager. She seemed really enthusiastic about her new position, but our conversation quickly shifted to her plans to reorganize the team, which she described as a 'mess.' This immediately raised a red flag for me, and I started to worry. She laid out her restructuring ideas, and it gave me the impression that there would likely be a lot of micromanagement involved. After careful consideration, I realized I wasn't keen on being part of a team rebuild when I had no understanding of its previous state.
