First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Snap-on.
Outside Sales Representative
I applied on Feb 20, 2026, and they set up a phone interview for Feb 26th. The interviewer talked about the position and asked about my experience. Then, they really pushed on whether I lived close enough to the job. The interviewer was actually from Toledo and didn't know Cincinnati well. I explained that living in a rural area and driving 20+ miles to work was normal for my region, which seemed to satisfy them. They then scheduled me for a follow-up with a district lead on Monday, March 2nd, via Teams. After I accepted, they ghosted me until March 6th, when they texted to reschedule for the next Monday, March 9th, with no explanation. I accepted, and they did show up this time. They asked the same questions about my living distance and if it would be an issue. When I said I wouldn't have applied if it was too far, they asked a couple more questions. It felt like a formality because they seemed uninterested and were just going through the motions. Rescheduling when not interested is a question for them. Overall, it was a waste of time, and I wouldn't want any more contact with Snapon.
- How far from the route do you live?
Application Support Analyst
It was pretty easy, with scenario-based questions. Mostly behavioral and situational stuff. They wanted me to explain my resume and past experiences and connect them to the job. There were three rounds total. The final one was with the director, the second with the manager, and the first with HR.
- Can you start by telling me about yourself?
- What makes you interested in working for this company?
- Could you walk me through your resume and prior work history?
Manager
It was a smooth process but I found some of the questions to be quite strange. In total, there were about 4 interviews and one in-person meeting that happened over a period of 2 months. I would advise people to steer clear of this company because they don't seem to value their employees.
- Tell me about your educational background.
Product Manager
It was pretty straightforward. I had multiple chats with managers from various departments. They asked about my background and my knowledge of vehicle repair and diagnostics in the Lincolnshire, IL area. It felt like they were mostly assessing my personality and if I'd be a good cultural fit. I turned down the offer because the salary was way too low, almost offensive.
- Can you explain how you evaluate competing products?
- Describe your past experiences.
- What's your familiarity with vehicle repair and diagnostics specific to Lincolnshire, IL?
