The interview process involved some basic competency and commercial awareness questions, with not too many follow-ups. Initially, they wanted to understand my motivations for wanting to work in law. Then, they asked about instances where I'd shown qualities they value. They also inquired about my commercial awareness, particularly concerning AI.

- Could you share an interesting commercial news story?
- Why are you interested in a legal career?
Recruiting Assistant
Your tasks will include candidate management, where you'll help communicate with applicants and set up interviews. You'll also be responsible for organizing and documenting, maintaining applicant data and status lists in Excel to ensure the recruiting process is clear and trackable. Expense and cost management involves processing incoming invoices and travel expense claims, keeping an eye on costs for recruiting events. You'll manage recruiting platforms by updating our profiles on job boards to boost our employer brand visibility. Lastly, you'll assist with planning and executing recruiting and networking events. Your profile should include a completed apprenticeship, ideally in a commercial field, and some experience in administrative or case processing is a plus. Recruiting experience is helpful but not required. Good English skills are needed, along with strong organizational and structured working habits. Team player with a proactive approach. Proficient with MS Office. What we offer: A varied workload in a fast-paced environment. A supportive team. A respectful atmosphere. Many benefits like fitness/health options (bike leasing, wellness pass, gym subsidy, in-house activities). We also have employee events like Christmas/summer parties and get-togethers throughout the year to celebrate successes!
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Coordinator
The interviewer was nice and I was really interested in the job. They mentioned they didn't have a hiring timeline and were looking for the right person, which I should have seen as a warning. Other people also mentioned being ghosted. I only got one follow-up and was told I'd hear back in a few days, but I never did. I followed up one last time before I decided to stop and look at other jobs I was interviewing for. It's wild to show interest in someone, interview them, and still not get an answer after a month. It's a bummer because I liked the job and the recruiter seemed interested.
- Can you tell me about your timeline for getting hired or finding a new role?
Associate
I had 2 interviews. The first one was with a panel of 5 lawyers, and then the second one was with the partners. The first interview really dug into my CV, asking a lot of technical follow-up questions about the cases I had worked on. The questions came pretty fast, probably to see how I'd handle pressure, but it was still a polite and friendly chat. The partner interview was more about my interests, like why I'm into competition law and why I'm interested in this particular firm, and it felt more relaxed than the first one.
- Could you explain your interest in competition law?
- Please summarise your thesis and state your final conclusion.
- Can you tell us about a case you worked on?
