It's a two-part thing. First, there's an initial introductory call, I guess to see if they even want to interview you formally. Then, there's a several-hour in-person interview where you meet different teams and groups. You give a presentation to everyone during lunch and also take a pretty straightforward quiz.

Behavioral Technical

It was a thorough but painless interview process. The first step was a standard phone interview where they asked the usual questions. After that, there was another interview via zoom. Finally, there was a more in-depth interview with the company's leadership. They also required academic and professional references, plus a writing sample. Overall, it was a standard interview process.

The interview process was quite long, about 5.5 to 6 hours. It started with a 30-minute company introduction, followed by a 30-minute presentation of my background. Then there were several interview rounds where I had to brainstorm solutions. Lunch was with some entry-level engineers. After lunch, there was a technical quiz lasting about an hour. The questions were general, but they wanted specific answers, which I didn't think was the best approach. I noticed one engineer seemed confused about some concepts. Also, some comments from the entry-level engineers during lunch felt like potential red flags about the company.

It took about a month for the whole process from applying to the interview. The interview itself was super long, like 9am to 5pm, and they didn't mention that beforehand. Some younger engineers took me to lunch, which was nice. Even though everyone seemed happy, it was clear they all work really hard, maybe too hard. HR was great, but I really wish they had told me to block out a whole day. I didn't hear back in time and accepted another offer. I let SGH know and gave them one last shot to make an offer, but still no response.
