It was a thorough but painless interview process. The first step was a standard phone interview where they asked the usual questions. After that, there was another interview via zoom. Finally, there was a more in-depth interview with the company's leadership. They also required academic and professional references, plus a writing sample. Overall, it was a standard interview process.

I talked with principals from the office I was applying to. They were super nice and the interview was really interesting. We started with some technical questions, like structural design and analysis, which I had to solve on the board. Then, they asked if I had any questions about the company or what they do there. After that, I met with a junior engineer who was really helpful and answered any other questions I had. They were great.

I sent in my application online and a friend who works there got me an interview. The interview was pretty long, from 9 am to 3 pm. It started with me giving a short presentation about myself to the project managers. After that, I had several interviews with smaller groups. There was a technical part where they asked me about shear and moment diagrams and how to analyze a retaining wall. They also invited me to lunch with some of the newer employees. It was a really competitive process. My advice is to make sure you've got a good handle on your core engineering skills.
