First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc..
Project Consultant
It's a two-part thing. First, there's an initial introductory call, I guess to see if they even want to interview you formally. Then, there's a several-hour in-person interview where you meet different teams and groups. You give a presentation to everyone during lunch and also take a pretty straightforward quiz.
- How familiar are you with specific programs?
- Tell me about your writing skills.
Project Consultant
The interview process included two technical quizzes (one quantitative, one qualitative), a personality questionnaire, and a presentation skills assessment. It involved speaking with many principals across different sessions and lasted around 6 hours. There were ample chances to ask questions about the company's work and what to expect in the role.
- What are your motivations for wanting to work at SGH?
- Can you describe your teamwork abilities?
- How would you handle a challenging colleague?
Project Consultant
It was a 4 hour long interview with multiple people and parts. They looked at every part of my transcript and asked questions about it before moving on to technical questions.
- How would a foundation footing interact with the given loads?
- What does the load path of this building look like?
