Customer Success Manager
This was the best interview experience I've had. The recruiter's communication was excellent from the start to the end. I felt informed, ready, and capable because of the resources and expectations given early. Even though the job wasn't a perfect match, I felt more enthusiastic about Signifyd's mission and the fraud industry afterwards.
- What have you learned about the fraud space?
Data Scientist
They told me I was going to have a round of around 4-5 interviews (each with an Engineer specialized in said topic (SQL, programming, statistics, etc). What I found sketchy was that, even though they offer a 4-day working week, they reduce the available vacation days. So, instead of having the minimum asked by the govt, they give you 4 (first year) and they say it's compensating the "4 days week".
- A HackeRank problem was sent to me.
Software Development Engineer in Test
Had a first chat with talent team who were communicative, professional and personable. We discussed the culture which seems great. Then had a meeting with an engineering manager and QA. It was a good conceptual discussion about approach and my experience. I was able to ask questions and it sounds like there are really interesting things to work on. Lastly, there was a tech test. I didn't do great on this one. A lot of it was about general code definitions, so brush up on those. The practical part was a pair programming session. I felt the answers were very pre-defined. Focus on where the questions are leading, rather than just using your experience.
- What does API stand for?
- Can you explain the difference between asynchronous and synchronous operations?
Senior Account Manager
The whole thing took about 2 months. I first got a call from a recruiter. Within a week, HR told me the role was filled. Apparently, the first choice changed their mind, so they reached back out to me. Then they wanted me to interview with a hiring manager. After that, they announced they hired someone internally, then they wanted to interview me again. Finally, the interview with the hiring manager happened. It was a 30-minute call, very by-the-book and dull. She seemed to be looking for a very specific type of person and was negative about my current company, questioning skills not even listed in the job description. I later realized they might have been looking for a Senior Director or VP.
- Could you share an instance where you influenced the decisions of C-suite executives at a client's company?
- Tell me about a time you influenced C-suite executive decisions at a client organization, maybe in the context of a QBR.
