Risk Analyst
The people were nice and welcoming, but the salaries they offered were really low for a senior position. I bet that even if they offer you 4 weeks of pay, you'll end up working 5 or 6 because of the heavy workload.
- What makes you want to change your current role?
Risk Analyst
I applied online, and then the recruiter set up an interview not too long after. We chatted about the job and my background, and it felt like a good match, but then I never heard back from them; guess they couldn't be bothered to tell me I wasn't selected.
- Can you tell me about your relevant skills and experience and how they fit this role?
Risk Analyst
I went through two Skype interviews back in February and the whole experience was very professional and helpful. I felt supported throughout. My recruiter let me know I wasn't successful this time. They then asked if I wanted to be on a waiting list and go straight into the file next time they had the ability to hire, which they said was Q2. It's now July and I haven't heard anything, despite chasing the recruiter until I gave up and saw they had risk analyst roles advertised again. It seems they now have their own recruiter, so I hope my experience of being on the hook for a job that wasn't coming and turning down other opportunities, only to be left clueless for three months despite reaching out, doesn't happen again. I don't know if this blip was due to the third-party recruiter or the company directly, but it was a bad experience. Future candidates should be fine now they handle their own recruitment, but I felt this needed mentioning. Please don't keep candidates on a fictional hook for a job that doesn't exist just in case.
- Can you share an instance where you managed a challenging situation?
- What is your background in risk analysis and specifically credit risk?
