First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Side.
Sales Manager
The hiring team was slow to respond and give updates, which made me feel like I was on standby. I reached the third round but was rejected via email after four weeks. While I accept the outcome, the communication could have been better. I suspect I was kept as a backup option, with the assumption I'd be available if needed, rather than being kept informed.
- Tell me about your management experience.
Human Resources
The interview went great! It was pretty structured and kept me engaged, asking about both technical and behavioral stuff. The interviewers were pros and asked some really good questions that made me think about how I solve problems, my knowledge in the field, and my critical thinking abilities.
- What's your strategy for managing two teams located in different zones?
Business Development Manager
You'll have four interviews: first, a recruiter chat, then with the department lead, followed by a panel, and finally a workshop. The recruiter and department lead chats are about 30 minutes each. The panel interview goes for 2 hours, with four 30-minute back-to-back interviews with managers and peers. During one of these, you'll give a presentation and do a business analysis using materials provided beforehand. The last part is a workshop where you'll analyze a business on the spot with no prior info - it's tough but a good experience!
- Can you share an instance where you had to handle an agent who was unhappy about a mistake in their commission payment?
New Market Expansion Manager
From the initial call with Lisa and the flexible scheduling by Janica, the interview process at Side was truly a great experience. Lisa was in constant touch with me throughout the hiring process. I never had to guess where I was supposed to be or who I was meeting with. Janica ensured I had everything I needed to be prepared for each interview, including itineraries, agendas, and bio's of the team members I'd be interviewing with. I was in the process of interviewing with other companies, but Side mad my decision easy.
- Can you describe your method for creating a project plan?
- Which project management tools have you utilized?
- Could you share an instance where you experienced challenges collaborating with a colleague?
