The interview process took some time due to the amount of interviews that occurred throughout the process. However, both Janica and Chelsea took the time every week to make sure all my needs were taken care of and moving me through the interviews. In one instance, my laptop and Wi-Fi COMPLETELY went off two minutes before an interview. As I was panicking to get everything back up, Janica took the time to call me and make sure everything was ok. She helped me reschedule for the next day and everything went fine. This company values its employees and makes sure they're taken care of from day 1 of interviews to day 1 of employment and beyond.

So I had 6 interviews total. It started with a recruiter call, then I met with the hiring manager. After those, I had a mini super day with 4 other managers. They were all really nice and made me feel super comfortable.

The whole thing with Side took about 11 weeks and involved four scheduled events: a recruiter call, an interview with the hiring manager, a team interview, and an interview with the COO. The team interviews were pretty chill and mostly behavioral. I did pick up on a few red flags about the company culture from the team members, which you can also see in the reviews here on Glassdoor. On the team interview day, one person didn't show up and I had to call them to remind them. The hiring manager also had to leave for about 5 minutes during their interview. Initially, Side's recruiting team was super responsive, but after the interviews, communication really dropped off. Whenever they did get back to me, they'd give a timeframe for a decision that was usually 'next week,' but they missed these deadlines for about 6 weeks. My original recruiter left Side, and my application got passed along. The process wrapped up with a phone call telling me they chose someone else, which was at least better than a generic email. Honestly, the lack of communication and constantly missed timelines left a bad impression and would have impacted my decision if I'd gotten an offer. My advice: don't set expectations you can't meet, or at least try not to miss them *every* time. Side really needs to fix their candidate experience and remember that candidates' time is valuable too.
