It was a really fast interview over Zoom. The interviewer was nice and gave me a lot of good info about the job, like what the expectations are and what the schedule would be like. I liked that they were upfront about everything and what working there would be like, even mentioning raises and stuff which you don't always get in an interview.

Behavioral

The STAR-based interview questions are used to check your past behavior and how you've performed in specific situations. The STAR method means Situation, Task, Action, and Result. These questions help interviewers see how you handled situations and how you might deal with them in the future. You need to explain the context of the situation, your task, the actions you took, and the result of those actions, including successes or lessons learned.

Behavioral Technical

I got a Teams call from the hiring manager directly, asking some basic questions. Then I was invited for an onsite interview which consisted of 3 rounds. One round was with the VP (who is the HM), another round was with the Head, and the last round was with the Principal. The onsite rounds were mostly behavioral questions, with a couple of easy technical questions. They stressed using the STAR method for all behavioral questions.

Behavioral Technical

After applying online, I got a call to schedule a Zoom interview with the hiring manager. He then had me complete some online skills tests. Following that, I was asked to travel to their headquarters, which is about an hour away. Once there, I had four separate 30-minute one-on-one interviews. They mentioned I was one of the top two candidates, but the next morning they called to say they decided to go with the other person. They also mentioned they were looking for a male candidate, which I am not.
