Orders to Cash Analyst
The panel interview centered on practical situations. They asked me basic situational questions about how I'd manage specific challenges and if I could adjust or improvise when something isn't immediately obvious.
- What would you do if you were missing some data or facts for a task?
Customer Service Representative
I met with HR first, then the hiring manager. Since it was a bilingual position, the interview was done in both English and French. The HR interview was about 15-20 minutes long, and the interview with the hiring manager was about 45 minutes to an hour.
- How would you deal with a customer who is upset or aggravated?
Manager
The interview process was pleasant, but ultimately a complete waste of time because I was ghosted after the interviews. When someone invests time in the interview process, they deserve closure. It's rude and unappreciative to leave a candidate hanging in uncertainty. A simple 'thank you, but we've moved on' requires minimal effort and prevents candidates from having to search online to find out if a job has been filled. Interviews consume time and energy for both parties. A company that values people communicates well throughout the process, including when they decide to end recruitment. Candidates could be customers, but they won't be if treated poorly. It makes one wonder how current employees are treated if this is how prospective employees are handled. It's a mystery why a company would risk its image with such dismissive behavior; it's simply lazy and inconsiderate.
- Can you provide some standard background information about yourself?
- What are your standard qualifications and areas for improvement?
- Can you share an example of a standard challenge you encountered and how you dealt with it?

The interview process spanned from October 2017 to April 2018, lasting six months. It included 5 phone interviews, 3 video interviews, and 1 on-site interview, totaling 9 rounds with 10 interviewers. While the recruiter maintained good communication, the company ultimately chose an internal candidate, despite leading me to believe I was a strong contender. They did arrange accommodations for my on-site interview as I was from out of town. This experience felt like a waste of time, energy, and emotions, leading to a significant disappointment and a decision not to consider them for future employment due to how the situation was handled. I also noted a lack of diversity, with only one woman and one person of color among the 10 interviewers, suggesting a male-dominated environment.
- A surprise Microsoft Excel exam was administered, apparently because they discovered I had already interviewed with someone on the schedule.
