First there was a telephonic interview. After that, at the company location, there were two technical interviews (Round 1 and Round 2). If I got selected from those, there was a tool test. Then, if needed, a technical interview with the client manager. Finally, an HR discussion happened on that day or the day after.

Technical Behavioral Presentation

HR from Satyam Venture Engineering Services (Satven) called me after seeing my profile on Naukri. They thought I was suitable for an onsite role in Japan and mentioned that I would need to join immediately if selected. I passed the initial round and was then invited for a face-to-face discussion in Hyderabad, India. The HR mentioned that a Higher Management meeting was scheduled and apologized for the initial invite stating "face to face discussion" implying the HR interview would be done the same day. After 3 days without any response, I emailed for feedback and received a very brief reply.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • Given a client's problem statement "My product is not meeting the requirement", and assuming all necessary inputs (data, software) are provided, how would you approach solving this? Please present your solution in a maximum of 2-3 PowerPoint slides.
  • A discussion with the VP of the unit about the next steps.
  • The HR indicated that an urgent Higher Management meeting was scheduled and apologized for any confusion caused by the "face to face discussion" in the email invite, as the HR interview would be concluded on the same day.

We had an offline test covering basic mechanics, aptitude, machine design, and strength of materials. Then there was a Group Discussion on a random topic, followed by a personal interview focusing on mechanical engineering basics. HR also interviewed me. The interview was mainly about core mechanical engineering subjects, and cracking the exam means you can definitely pass the interview. The interviewers were friendly and understanding. The GD topic was chosen by the batch and was casual, aimed at checking communication skills.
