First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Satyam Venture Engineering Services.
Graduate Engineer Trainee
We had an offline test covering basic mechanics, aptitude, machine design, and strength of materials. Then there was a Group Discussion on a random topic, followed by a personal interview focusing on mechanical engineering basics. HR also interviewed me. The interview was mainly about core mechanical engineering subjects, and cracking the exam means you can definitely pass the interview. The interviewers were friendly and understanding. The GD topic was chosen by the batch and was casual, aimed at checking communication skills.

- Can you draw the stress strain diagram?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
It's a four round interview process. The first round is a technical written test combined with an aptitude test, and there are sectional cut-off marks based on their terms. The second round is a Group Discussion. The third round is a General HR interview, and the fourth round is a Technical HR interview. In the first round technical part, they mostly cover topics like Strength of Materials (SOM), focusing mainly on shear and stress, its types and properties. They also cover Materials Strength and weakness, for example, asking which is the strongest metal among HSS, carbon, and Mild Steel. They also ask about IC engine properties and fuel properties. Additionally, they cover Beams and their types, including eccentricity and stress acting on beams. Finally, they cover important laws like Newton's law, Thermodynamics, and Hook's law. Make sure to cover these topics when you attend the interview in this company, and also study some more important topics.
- Can you answer all the questions from your resume?
Graduate Engineer Trainee
I got an email to attend an interview at Satven, but it turned out to be a software proficiency test. As a fresher, I felt I performed well and didn't make any mistakes. They mentioned a follow-up test with actual customers. I pointed out I was a fresher, but they seemed to have high expectations, which I found unrealistic. Overall, it was a good learning experience, and I've decided to seek opportunities with OEMs rather than service-based companies like this.
- Tell me about your interest in Satven.
- What motivated you to choose this field of engineering?
- What are your thoughts on pursuing higher studies instead of joining the workforce?
