I felt really uncomfortable during this video call interview with a senior software engineer at this company in Singapore. The big boss was also on the call and didn't speak much, maybe eating watermelon and watching a show? The senior engineer conducting the interview was speaking loudly and impolitely, mispronouncing some words, especially 'VERSION'. Unfortunately, my listening skills and English weren't great, and I could only make out him repeatedly saying 'VAASION' when asking technical questions, but I couldn't understand what he was saying. I had to ask him to repeat himself several times, but I still didn't get it. Sorry about that.

First, there was a recruiter call. Then, I interviewed with the team manager, followed by an HR interview. The interview wasn't that hard, and there was no technical assignment or live coding. The whole process was much quicker than other companies.

So, the first part was a virtual call, and that went pretty smoothly. Then, for the second round, they had me come into their office. This was honestly the most random and judgemental conversation I've experienced. The interviewer drilled me with super personal and invasive questions about my age, when I plan to have a family, what I like to eat, and other stuff like that, which felt really unprofessional. On top of that, they brought up concerns about my salary expectations and only offered a single-digit raise! All the judgement on my personal life felt like major red flags.
