Had an online one-way interview where I had to answer multiple questions within a time limit. Then I had a fit interview, which was pretty chill, and could be done in person or virtually. It wasn't technical or role-based, just general questions about my spiritual journey.

First, they gave me a call and had a phone chat. After that, I was sent a link to a video recording software where I had to answer questions and submit them by video. They allowed me to redo some videos, which was nice. Finally, I had an in-person interview, which was a great experience. They were very friendly, asked insightful questions that reflected the company's values, and made sure I had time to ask my own questions. Even though the experience and company were great, the job wasn't the right fit for me.

First, there's a ministry fit interview, then an HR interview, and finally a department interview. It varies based on the type of apprentice. My department interview was super quick. The first interview is just to see if you're a good fit for the ministry, and the others are more about your skills.

While I appreciated the thorough nature of the interview process, it is exhaustive, repetitive, and borderline invasive. The company moves you through a pipeline of recorded video interviews, several phone interviews, in-person interviews, zoom interviews. It seems that the company eliminates candidates as they assessed if the candidate aligns with their values and mission. However, the interviews feel invasive because top executives asked questions about personal beliefs and practices outside of the workplace. This also raises questions about the company culture and top-down approach to leadership. They were more concerned about my theological convictions and less concerned about my professional skills.
