Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Samaritan's Purse.
Apprentice
First, there's a ministry fit interview, then an HR interview, and finally a department interview. It varies based on the type of apprentice. My department interview was super quick. The first interview is just to see if you're a good fit for the ministry, and the others are more about your skills.
- Can you introduce yourself and tell me about your background and experience?
Apprentice
The whole process took about 4-5 months from when I applied to when I got the offer letter. It included a pre-recorded video interview, a phone call with the ministry to check if I was a good fit, and then a final phone interview.
- Is this Apprenticeship Program something you feel a calling to?
Apprentice
I had a really bad interview experience. The interviewer was super late, like 30-40 minutes late, and then only had about 20 minutes for me. It felt really unprofessional, and I wish the communication during the whole process had been clearer and faster.
- Can you share your thoughts on faith?
- Could you describe your experience?
- What are your motivations for wanting to join Samaritan's Purse?
