It was a simple interview, took about 15 mins. They asked some pretty easy questions like what I was looking for and why I wanted to work there. I got the offer a few days later.

Behavioral Presentation

I had an initial screening call with HR. Then, I had an online interview with the direct manager, which went well. After that, I was invited for a final in-person interview where I had to prepare a 15-minute presentation about a rebranding campaign. The overall process was smooth, and the interviewers seemed satisfied. HR said the feedback was positive and they were finalizing a decision, giving me potential dates for feedback. However, I never heard back and was just told to wait. They did ask for the presentation deck, though. I didn't get any clear confirmation on whether I got the job after following up a few times via email, with HR just repeatedly asking me to wait. I had to move on to other opportunities. It felt like they were just trying to steal ideas because the presentation was based on a real business need, and I didn't feel appreciated.

Behavioral Presentation

The phone interviews and coordination via email were efficient. However, the in-person interview felt quite disorganized and unprofessional. The first 30 minutes were chaotic. I was also put off by interviewers who couldn't clearly explain why they thought Sally was a good place to work. I left with the impression that the managers were disorganized, didn't truly grasp the role, or that Sally wasn't a great workplace. I later spoke with several former employees from various positions about their experiences at Sally. Most had very negative reviews, with only one exception. Two weeks after the interview, I still haven't received any response, not even an email. Given that I prepared a presentation that required significant effort, and made a long drive for the interview, I was expecting at least an email. I have since accepted another position elsewhere and am very happy. I had a strong feeling that Sally was not a place I wanted to work.

Solution Architect Q&A. It would be important to demonstrate an ability to adapt, not taking negative feedback personal, and perhaps relying on the team around you to get to an acceptable solution. Let the creative juices flow with your answer - this is an opportunity to show off! The answer to this question often depends on what value a buyer puts on marginal enhancements. If someone has a lot of spending cash and really cares about something specific, custom might be suitable. But in several use cases, you can get 95% of the way to the desired state without customization, so it might not pay off to do so especially given that Salesforce iterates on its own features, not custom features. This is pretty open-ended depending on what you have worked on in the past, but the idea is that you should describe the measures you have taken for your solutions to work with 1 user or 1000, or 1 record or 1 million. Similar to above, this will depend on specific work you have done, but will involve things like referencing Custom Settings or Metadata for business logic instead of requiring updates directly to Flows or Apex. The goal is to show that something an architect designed and built does not require an architect or developer to perform regular maintenance.
