I had one interview at Pune office(FEB-2026), it was very disappointing. In the first technical round, two interviewers interviewed me. They started by asking about my previous projects and experience, then moved on to Java collections, exception handling, sorting algorithms, and threading. I explained each question in depth. They then gave me an array question: {1,1,2,2,3,4,4,5,5} and wanted the output as {1,2,3,4,5,0,0,0}. Initially, I used a linked list to check for existing elements, then skipped them, and finally added zeros until the desired length. The interviewer asked me to reduce the time complexity. Later, I modified the solution using a two-pointer approach with O(1) time complexity. In the last part, they asked a general scenario-based question about finding a harvested ball, for which I explained the best solution. Finally, they said to wait. I waited for about 1 to 1.5 hours after the first round, hoping for the next round, and was feeling confident. Then, HR called me and said, 'Sorry, unfortunately, my expectations do not match your requirements.' A complete waste of time.

I interviewed with the recruiter and then met with the hiring manager pretty quickly. They told me they wanted to do a panel interview and asked for my availability, but scheduling took a while. The recruiter said there'd be one last interview after the panel, which we finally scheduled after a week. I actually had two separate panel interviews because someone wasn't available during the first one. After those were done, I followed up a few times the next week but didn't hear back, eventually getting a generic automated rejection. Super unprofessional and a waste of my time.

This was a really bad and unprofessional interview. It started with an assessment exam, which I passed. Then I got a case study to complete in 24 hours, which was a lot of work because it was open-ended and required research. After that, I presented it to the group lead, who said the interview was almost over, just needing a few chats with his team. Then, the recruiter contacted me to schedule a chat to present the case again, this time to a panel of directors. It was weird, but I presented it. That same Friday night, I got an email asking me to chat with the VP on Monday and to study their products. This ruined my weekend, but I prepared a lot. However, the first thing the VP asked was when I'd move to Austin (even though the job said remote was okay) and then asked about my SaaS background and software creation knowledge. The lack of communication, late emails, and the VP's questions that could have disqualified me early on made this a poorly managed process. It makes you wonder why they wasted so much time if those were disqualifiers from the start. Maybe it was a good thing I didn't get the job if this is a sign of the culture, even though people say it's great and Glassdoor agrees. Getting ghosted and last-minute inflexibility seem common. It was the worst interview experience in years.

The interview process at SailPoint was super positive and organized. It started with a good screening by the Recruiting team, who told me what to expect. Then I had a good chat with the Hiring Manager, which was more like a discussion about the job, team goals, and how I could help, not an interrogation. After that, they set up meetings with important team members and people from other departments I'd work with. This was great because I got a real sense of the company culture, how the team works, and the actual challenges and opportunities in the role. The whole thing was quick, clear, and handled really well.
