It was 6 rounds and at the end, the last interviewer told me to apply again within the first 5 minutes of the interview. It seemed like she had already made her decision.

It was a pretty straightforward interview process. They spent a good amount of time talking about what it's like to work at SailPoint. It felt fair, and the questions weren't designed to trick you or make you feel bad. The people were nice and asked good, balanced questions. I felt comfortable throughout.

Technical Behavioral

Overall, the process wasn't too bad. The number of rounds felt reasonable compared to similar companies, and I liked most of my conversations. It was also a relief that there wasn't an intense case study, in fact, there wasn't one at all. My main issues were with the Technical Assessment interview and the final offer. The Technical Assessment was weirdly conducted: 10 multiple-choice questions where the interviewer shared their screen, so I didn't have the questions on my own screen. This was problematic for 3-4 questions with code snippets because they wouldn't fully fit on the screen, and I couldn't see the question or answers clearly. It took a lot of time and was distracting, needing to ask the interviewer to scroll. Second, I got a call to discuss the offer. Since I was only interviewing for the SA role, I was shocked to be offered a Senior Implementation Consultant position. It felt like a bait-and-switch. (We did discuss it, and they agreed SA was the right fit, but it was still a jarring experience.)
