First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RSI.
QA Engineer
The whole hiring thing took around 3 months because jobs were opening and closing. The recruiter was super on it the whole time. I had 5 interviews in total. Everyone I talked to was really nice and helpful during the interviews. It was a bit unclear why it took 3 months.
- Tell me about your background.
- Could you answer some basic SQL questions?
Business Analyst
So there were three rounds in total. First, I talked to the recruiter, then I met with the managers, and finally, I had a chat with the CTO. The whole thing moved pretty fast, wrapping up in about two weeks.
- Can you explain scrum/agile practices?
- What is your experience with Agile methodologies?
- How would you handle challenging coworkers?
Technical Analyst
Had a technical interview over Zoom with an analyst who works there. They didn't ask a lot of technical questions to test my knowledge, but rather focused on my past experience. The interview was about 30 minutes long. Communication from them has been a bit slow.
- Can you tell me about your experience with JIRA?
Recruiter
The interview process was LONG. I had 2 phone interviews with recruiters. Then I went to their Corporate office for final interviews, which took a whole day, and they paid for my travel and lunch. They mostly talked about the positions and the company, saying I was a great fit and it was just about finding the right department. I felt VERY confident. They called me on the way home to check in. The next day, I had to fill out an application. After a week of following up, they said they were still deciding. This went on for weeks. 2 MONTHS LATER, they told me they chose another candidate and asked if I got another job. It was confusing why they couldn't give me an answer, and the recruiter left me hanging. The people were nice, but I wouldn't go through this process again. I do know someone who works at RSI and enjoys it.
