First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at RSI.
Associate Consultant
The whole interview process was wrapped up in about two weeks. As soon as HR got in touch, they set up the next interview super quick. HR was really on the ball and kept me updated on how things were going, which was great. After the initial screening call, I went through two technical interviews, and the final one was with a project manager. The questions were pretty standard, but would be tough without prep, mostly focusing on SQL and general software development.
- Could you explain the distinction between UNION and UNION ALL?
- In which situations is it more appropriate to use HAVING rather than WHERE?
- Can you share some college projects that you believe are relevant to this role?
Associate Consultant
I had 2 interviews. First one was simply behavioral. Then they invited me to team building event. It was an amazing opportunity to meet people. Then I had another interview, divided into 2, with project manager and Senior consultant. That was a 1 hour session where they asked about projects and technical skills.
- Can you share about any consulting projects?
- Tell us about your projects and technical skills.
Associate Consultant
I went through four rounds of interviews over the phone/skype. The first few rounds were mostly behavioral, and the last one had technical questions. The interviews were with people who have been with the company for different lengths of time, from about a year to over ten years, so it's important to be able to connect with everyone.
- Can you outline the phases of the software development life cycle and provide a description for each?
