The interview process was pretty heavy on interviews, but they made the steps super clear and it took a little over a month. Here's how it went: 1. recruiter screen interview 2. online behavioral & critical thinking assessment 3. hiring manager interview 4. four panel interviews with 4 different leaders from: a. Operations b. Product c. Engineering d. HR 5. SVP interview 6. recruiter recap with live offer 7. official offer sent The recruiter was awesome at explaining each step (like who you'd interview with, how long it would take, and links to their websites to check out) and what to expect. She was always available if I had questions and got back to me fast.

Had an HR interview that went well. Then I had an interview with a Staff engineer from the squad. The interview was fine, I answered all the questions properly because I knew the answers. The only exception was an open-ended/subjective question, the kind where the answer depends on the scenario. In the end, I just got a weak reply by email saying they weren't moving forward. I asked for more information about why I wasn't moving forward so I could improve any weak points, but they ignored me. Terrible experience, it was just a waste of time, and from what I've seen, the company keeps hiring and people leave this role directly, I think something is wrong.

This role was posted and reposted on different platforms for over a month before I heard from HR. After applying on a few different platforms, I eventually heard back from recruiting. It took about a month to get through the interview process and get an offer. Scheduling was easy and the recruiter, Corinne, was very responsive and helpful. I had 5 interviews in total (2 were panels at different times). At first, 5 interviews seemed like a lot, but since I'll be working closely with 4 of them, I actually liked meeting many team members beforehand to help make introductions smoother and set expectations for the environment.

Behavioral Technical

The first two interviews were successful. I spoke with Cynthia, the recruiter, and then John, the VP of Finance. Both asked questions directly related to the job description and were honest and respectful. Things went so well with John that I heard back within 90 minutes about setting up my third interview with Deborah, the Chief Growth Officer, even though they initially said it could take up to two weeks. This is where things took a turn. She started by asking for an overview of my background, which is fine, but then she began asking data-related questions that required specific data to answer. The first question was about determining the investment needed to encourage a customer to buy add-ons. I explained that it depends on the data, but I would monitor certain metrics to make decisions. She responded by saying that wasn't an answer and demanded a specific amount, to which I reiterated that I couldn't provide a figure without the data. This CGO was asking for specifics without context and this was just one of many questions that needed data to provide a specific answer. She was rude and undermining throughout the questioning.
