They had a coding round where one problem was given to solve on the meeting itself. Then a technical interview where mostly ruby on Rails related questions and mysql database systems questions were asked. Then a managerial interview which was like a formality round to check the behavior of the employee. Lastly, an HR interview.

I had an initial phone screen with a recruiter. She was super nice and knew her stuff. Just that she pinged me to reschedule a few minutes after our initial phone screen was supposed to have already started. No big deal, things happen. About a week later, I was notified I was to move on and have a phone screen with the Director of Inside Sales. Funny enough, she too pinged me a few minutes after our supposed start to reschedule. So onward to our second proposed time. A few minutes after our scheduled time, she pinged me again and told me she had to reschedule. The third time she just moved the calendar invite over to the following day. I withdrew my application shortly after. From what I've researched into Reflektive, it's a great company to work for – well funded with fantastic logos/testimonials, with smart and capable management/employees. But these type of candidate experiences really hurts their brand. I hope they fix it.

I was referred and the process moved super fast, like I was squeezed in at the very last minute. I don't think it's normally this quick, even for referrals. I had a phone screen with the Head of Talent, and he was awesome. He really knew how to sell the company, the product, why someone would want to work there, and what I could contribute. Then, within the next two days, I had an on-site with him and two of the founders. It was cool meeting everyone, though I was pretty nervous meeting a CEO and co-founder for a coordinator role. But they were all really nice and approachable. They gave me a clear idea of what I'd do right away, but also mentioned I'd have a lot of freedom to start projects from scratch and really own them. Right after that, I got a call pretty much immediately. The Head of Talent sounded really excited and eager to secure me, which was great to hear! After I accepted the written offer, everyone I interviewed with sent emails welcoming me, which made me feel really good and like they personally cared.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

It was a pretty standard and thorough interview process. Started with a recruiter screen, then a 30-minute call with someone from the Customer Success team. After that, there was an email exercise, followed by an on-site meeting with several Customer Success team members. The final step was another on-site meeting that included a presentation. The whole thing felt thorough, organized, and transparent. Scheduling the on-site was a bit tricky, they had to reschedule a couple of times, but since it's a startup, that kind of thing happens. They were upfront about it and gave me as much notice as possible. They tried to move things along quickly, and the recruiter was super responsive with scheduling and answering questions. It was cool meeting different people on the team to get a sense of their personalities, work styles, and roles within Customer Success. Everyone was really humble, which made me feel comfortable throughout.
