Graphic Designer
We had a good screening about my work experience and industry knowledge. There were follow-up interviews between the employer and the agent. They gave some updates and followed up, but they weren't very helpful in fighting for employee benefits. The package and incentives were also a bit below the market rate.

Retail Assistant
Overall everything is fine but I applied for a part-time role with them. The process was confusing, with unclear contract terms and inconsistent scheduling communication. Despite my attempts to clarify, the role was withdrawn. Check the contract carefully, especially regarding your scheduled hours, before signing.

Recruiter Specialist
So the interview process was pretty set up and I felt like it went through everything. We started with just applying, then a phone call to see if I basically had what they were looking for. After that, I went in for some in-person interviews that really let me show my skills and see if I fit in, and there were also some tests to see if I could actually do the job. They also checked my references to make sure I did good work before.

HR Consultant
I was asked to apply through a recruiter. The interview lasted 2 hours with the following structure: personality test and fill in resume, speak to the hiring manager, speak to two employees, another personality test, and speaking to the hiring manager again. On a positive note, I enjoyed speaking to the two employees and hearing their experiences and motivations for joining the role. They were honest and straightforward. However, speaking to the hiring manager was a struggle. I was not given a thorough job description prior to this interview but only brief descriptions of business development, HR and marketing and sales. These were areas I had little to no experience but I was willing to try. During the first part of speaking to the hiring manager, the focus was not to focus on the job description, neither to understand my capabilities. She first asked if I could speak Mandarin, I could but on a very basic level, and we proceeded part of the interview in Mandarin. She mentioned that I should still practice as she hopes to break into the China market. This was NOT on the job description. She asked questions about my family, relationship status and religion which I do not think has relevance to the role, if they did, there should be transparency into why these questions are being asked. During the last part of speaking to the hiring manager, I felt very disrespected. She first said she was not confident in my capabilities and said that if I were to be taken on, I might ruin her 100% rate of conversion from a temporary to permanent position. After this, she was still willing to "give me a chance" however, I would have had to sign the day of the interview and start work the following day. While I was probing and saying that I will need a month or so decide, as I am still interviewing with other companies, she said that I was "taking advantage of this opportunity." She then went on talking about how we're in a recession and we should take on the first job we find (???). She then said that I was not frank and indecisive as I was unable to say yes to this TEMPORARY role that she was clearly not confident with taking me on. Her tone was very condescending for someone who first asked ME to interview with them. Not worth....
