Since it was referral based, I had a boardroom interview with the Investment Advisor and Operations Management. They looked through my resume and asked a few questions. They were impressed with the data and metrics I showed and asked how I would help grow the team revenue higher. I believe there was a recruiter call prior to this and I assume a background check and offer will follow.

Behavioral Technical Case

I had applied multiple times through the company website. Eventually, HR contacted me, and we scheduled the first interview for the same week. It was a virtual face-to-face meeting conducted by my current manager. The interview was quite relaxed. They inquired about my daily responsibilities in my previous role and presented several scenario-based and general project management questions. They also described what my typical day might involve if I were to join RBC. I was told I'd hear back about a second round within a week if I passed the first. They mentioned interviewing many other candidates that week. The following Monday, I received a call asking if I could come to the office for the second round, scheduled for that same week on Thursday. In the office, there were three interviewers: two in person and one joining via Webex. We had a similar discussion, with a thorough explanation of the job profile. That also seemed to go well, and I was asked to wait another week for their feedback. However, the HR representative called the next Monday with an offer for the position. The entire process spanned about 2-2.5 weeks. The offer letter was sent the day after the call, and my start date was set for 15 days after receiving the offer.

Applied through LinkedIn and got contacted by HR 3 days later. They requested a last-minute interview session for Saturday, having contacted me on Friday evening. I asked to reschedule, but the HR person was quite rude. Nevertheless, I attended the interview. They didn't mention the working hours would be 3 PM to 12 AM Malaysia time. They offered many allowances. The interview with the Director of the FA department went well, and I was confirmed for the position. After a week, I contacted HR for feedback, and they said they'd provide the results next week. After 3 weeks of no update, despite contacting and emailing them, they ignored me. The HR team showed VERY RUDE AND POOR MANAGEMENT; at least they could have updated candidates on their interview status.
