I applied in Oct and never heard anything back regarding my application status, even after following up with their HR twice. A bit of a disappointment but a true reflection of the company's morals, which has been also stated in their reviews. I met with an outside talent acquisition manager, then met with the hiring manager. After that, they required an on site meeting with 4 of the team members which consisted of 2 hours in office. No bonus offered either.

It was alright. First, I had a basic in-person interview, then a call with the regional manager. Overall it was pretty easy and straightforward. They want you to understand KPI metrics, look presentable, and say you want to be in retail long-term, looking for retention.

Technical System Design

We had this technical screen where they asked me about designing a simple online banking dashboard or insurance portal. I suggested using ReactJS for the frontend and ASP.NET Core Web API for the backend. The backend would interact with SQL Server using C#. We'd implement APIs for login, policy listing, and applications. The backend structure would include service and controller layers, with added basic logging, error handling, and token-based authentication.

I applied a week before getting a call for an interview. The next day, I went in. Everyone was super welcoming, even before they knew I was interviewing. My interviewer was great, he explained the company well and asked if I knew about them. I confirmed and then explained my interest in the brand and standard interview topics. I felt the interview went well, it was about 15 minutes long. He covered the company's focus, associate expectations, and benefits/salary. He mentioned they're still evaluating candidates and I should hear from the area manager in a week or two for a follow-up call. It's been two weeks with no word. The last time I spoke to him, he said they're still interviewing and he'd keep me updated. It was a good experience overall, and rag&bone seems like a great place, so I'm still hopeful.
