Applied on Glassdoor and heard back from the Recruiter quickly. Had a good interview with her where she was engaged with what I shared, asked good questions, and was open to my questions. The next step was an interview with the hiring manager who asked about my past experience. Didn't get the job but got some specific feedback.

I decided not to proceed after reviewing the interview materials. It would have been a total of 7 hours of interviews, with about 4.5 hours focused on coding, none of which seemed directly related to the role. The project sounded interesting initially, but it felt poorly managed with minimal developer freedom. Honestly, everything they said, presented, or my questions raised red flags. To top it off, it was obvious none of the interviewers had actually read my resume until we were on the call. Save yourself the time and don't commit a full workday to interview with a company like this. You deserve better.

I saw the job posting on Welcome to The Jungle and applied. After three days, the recruiter emailed to set up a call to chat about my background and the job. Next, I talked with the hiring manager who was really into my past experience and asked loads of questions. Then came a technical interview they called "building from scratch," which is a 60-minute deal where you code something in Xcode live while screen-sharing. They said I'd get specifics on what to build during the interview, but that didn't happen. They showed me a random YouTube video of Pong and asked me to build it. It was a struggle, and I couldn't figure out how it connected to Quora. I got turned down a few days later.

So I applied online and then got a link to schedule an interview with a recruiter. The email with the link had some company info, like about their new product and what they value. The interview itself was 30 minutes and felt super fast and not very personal. The recruiter didn't seem ready and just asked a couple of basic things about my background and what salary I was looking for. We didn't really talk much about my skills or the job itself. I was kinda surprised they weren't more engaged, especially with my 15 years of experience, and it all felt very by-the-book.
