The interview process consisted of 3 rounds. It started with a market sizing assessment focusing on the number of teachers in the UK. Then, there was a case study assessment related to the events industry, which is directly connected to the company's work. The final round was an interview that included both a case study and a personal interview.

Behavioral Technical Case

This was a 3-round process. First two interviews were on the phone, and the final one was in person with a consultant. They had a motivational part, an Excel test, a market sizing question, and a case study. It wasn't too hard; the interviewers were nice and helped me out.

Submitted CV/CL, then took a 15-minute numerical reasoning test. Following that, there were questions about consulting and my interest in companies (business acumen related). I networked a bit and secured a first round, which was a straightforward market sizing drill (UK car market). The second round involved a standard case study about improving live events. The final round was a behavioral interview with the COO. They provide feedback after each interview. It seems I didn't receive an offer because my responses to 'why consulting' and 'why Plural' weren't strong enough. It's important to emphasize interest in live event and planning consulting as those are their primary client areas.

After applying, there was a maths test and some general questions like why consulting and why us. The first round had a short CV and competency chat, followed by a market sizing exercise for dating apps in London – the key is to be structured. The second round was an interviewee-led business case where you had to present slides, focusing on interpreting data and drawing conclusions. The final round was with a partner, 45 minutes on your own with your laptop, where you had to produce a final slide with three supported recommendations. Then, the partner would discuss the case with you (why you chose certain recommendations and not others), followed by questions on commercial acumen (discussing a company in an interesting sector) and your background.

Confirmed questions6 questions
  • Why did you choose Plural over MBB firms?
  • Could you explain the methodology behind your final recommendation?
  • What was your approach to the market sizing question regarding dating apps in London?
