I spontaneously applied for a junior auditor internship and the company responded very quickly, which was crucial for me because I was applying for a grant with an imminent deadline. We immediately had a call with HR: I was asked to talk about my education, experience, and why I wanted to work as an auditor, and I was also informed about the additional qualifications needed to grow in this environment (CPA or ACCA). On the very same day, I was informed of the positive outcome and we quickly proceeded with document preparation, thus managing to meet the deadlines for the grant.

First, they review applications and resumes to make sure you meet the basic requirements and have the right experience. Then, there's a quick chat, maybe on the phone or video, with a recruiter or HR person to check if you're interested, what your salary expectations are, and if you seem like a good fit overall. After that, you'll have one or more longer interviews with the hiring manager and possibly other team members. These interviews might involve behavioral questions, talking about the job specifically, or asking about how you'd handle certain situations or technical problems.

The interview process was brief and short. It involved personal questions about your activities in university and what makes you stand out from other applicants. They also asked about your weaknesses and strengths, why you think the company should hire you, and your knowledge of the company.

Behavioral Technical Case

So the process starts with a screening where they look at your resume to see if you're a good fit. If you make the cut, you'll have an initial interview, probably over the phone or video, just to check your basic skills and see if you're interested and would fit in. If you pass that, you move on to more interviews, which might be in person with the hiring manager and team. These will be more in-depth, testing your skills, how you solve problems, and how you interact with others using behavioral and technical questions, and some practice scenarios. You'll also get to ask questions to see if the company is right for you. Then they decide and offer the job to the best candidate.
