Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at PKF International.
Intern
It was a chatty interview, with lots of questions about my background, past work, and university studies. I thought it would be STAR format, but it was mostly open questions.
- Could you start by telling me about yourself?
- Can you describe your previous work experiences?
- What can you tell me about your course of study in university?
Intern
So the process starts with a screening where they look at your resume to see if you're a good fit. If you make the cut, you'll have an initial interview, probably over the phone or video, just to check your basic skills and see if you're interested and would fit in. If you pass that, you move on to more interviews, which might be in person with the hiring manager and team. These will be more in-depth, testing your skills, how you solve problems, and how you interact with others using behavioral and technical questions, and some practice scenarios. You'll also get to ask questions to see if the company is right for you. Then they decide and offer the job to the best candidate.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Could you explain a case study?
- Do you have a technical question?
Intern
I had a face to face interview with HR and then a written test. They asked accounting and finance questions and I had to present my idea after writing the answer. The account and finance questions were difficult and complicated.
- What makes you want to work for our company?
- What motivates your interest in auditing?
